Our Mission

At PS 349 we will work to cultivate the future leaders of the world for the 21st century through STEAM.  In collaboration with all members of our diverse community, we will address the needs of the whole child, through rigorous academics and project-based learning. The magnet curriculum will allow students to think critically, communicate effectively and solve real-world problems. We believe that students thrive in a nurturing environment of trust, safety, and security to grow both emotionally and academically.

About Us

At PS 349, we are nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators through hands-on learning, enrichment experiences, and opportunities for meaningful engagement with community organizations. We serve students in grades Pre-K-5 from our neighborhood in Jamaica, Queens (District 28) and from across the five boroughs of New York City.

Our History

We opened our doors to students in Pre-K and Kindergarten in September of 2015. Since then, we’ve grown to include a new grade each year, serving a diverse population of more than 600 students. In 2021, we celebrated our first graduating 5th-grade class.
